Course Description: An introduction to the techniques and processes
for disaster hazard assessment, disaster risk management, and
emergency preparedness, control, and recovery as they affect Personal
Safety. The primary focus of the course will be Natural Disasters,
but will include Technological Emergencies and Disasters, and
Terrorism Threats.  National, regional, and local level disasters
will be examined.

Textbook: None: Students use lecture notes and various web sites for
their
information sources to complete course requirements.
