Collins Living-Learning Center | Exploring Identity in Sculpture
L100 | 28611 | Maggy Cluzeau

In this studio art course, students will work collaboratively with this visiting
sculptor from France. Through group projects (4-5 students per group)
students will explore personal themes related to identity within and outside
the self (issues related to gender, sense of place, contemporary political
issues, etc.). Students will be given the opportunity to work with a variety of
materials to express the ideas decided upon by each group. Students will
also be exposed to the works of contemporary artists in France and China
through visuals and readings related to contemporary issues in sculpture.
