Labor Studies | Labor and the Arts
L290 | 24846 | Iovanella, Cathy
Section 24846, 1 cr., TV245. Class meets two Fridays, November 5 and
19, from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm with one hour free for lunch.
What do labor and the arts have in common? Experience a different
perspective of labor studies and the fine arts as we explore how art
and music reflect and record the many struggles and successes of the
labor movement. We will listen to the songs that “moved the movement
(s)”, and look at the labor murals and paintings that continue to
inspire. Instructor: Cathy Iovanella, DLS, IUNW.
