Y100 | 10205 | Failer
First 10 weeks only.
This class focuses on how constitutional debates reflect and shape
the polity's fundamental disagreements over deeply held values. To
understand these debates, we will look at constitutional conflicts in
light of both the political and moral contexts in which those
disagreements arise. Among the topics we will discuss will be
judicial review, separation of powers, abortion, gay marriage, and
affirmative action. Requirements for the course include papers,
exams, and active participation in moot courts.
