Introduction to psychology; its methods, data, and theoretical
interpretations in the following areas:  biological bases of
behavior, sensory and perceptual function, basic processes in
learning, memory, cognitive function, consciousness, motivation, and
emotion.

The class has four tests and a comprehensive final.  None are
dropped. All are required.  Students are encouraged to bring a sheet
of notes they prepare for themselves to use during the exams.  Class
consists of lectures, demonstrations, and videos,  Every class period
has quiz questions throughout, which make up about 10% of the final
grade.  The instructor encourages people to come for assistance.
An option to earn extra credit is also available.
