T101 Living in the Information Age
Lecture class number: 11122
• Prerequisites: None
• Course Objectives: Living in the Information Age is intended
to provide students with a broad understanding of the social and
psychological impact of the new communication technologies. In
addition, students will design and develop their own Web page and
learn how to become more effective communicators in cyberspace.
• Course Format : 2 lectures and one seminar discussion per
week
• Grading Procedures: Midterm and Final exams, Web site, Media
Diary, Papers, in-class presentations
• Requirements the course may meet: general social and
historical and general Telecommunications requirement
• Required Texts: All readings are on-line or on electronic
reserves
