Course Description
Generally a course description will include:

Prerequisites: Tel T205 or T207 or consent of instructor

Course Objectives:
This course surveys the historical development of mediated
communication suggesting linkages between past and present.
Examines a variety of time periods and media forms: telegraphy,
telephony, radio, television, and computer communication.

Course Format: Lecture

Grading Procedure: Exams and written assignments

Requirements the course may meet:
3 credit hours at the 300-level toward minor or major in
Telecommunications in the Media and Society area and/or toward a
B.A., B.F.A., B.S. or an A.A. degree in the College of Arts and
Sciences; may count for 3 credit hours toward social and historical
studies distribution requirement for a B.A. degree in the College of
Arts and Sciences
