This course is intended to have a wide appeal across the spectrum of
anthropological sub-disciplines and related fields. In particular, it
is relevant for students interested in the contemporary ethical,
methodological, and political dilemmas of negotiating the interests of
cultural, physical, and environmental anthropologists, archaeologists,
and ethnobotanists with historically marginalized peoples and
economically disadvantaged nation-states.
