Course Format: Lecture: 9:30A-10:45A, TR, JH A106, plus one three-
hour lab per week.

Course requirements:  High school chemistry/biology.  Computer access
(email and www), available to all students.

Course Description: L100 is a non-major's introductory biology five-
credit hour lecture/lab course.  The course is a survey course
introducing general topics in biology.  Topics include the chemical
and molecular structure of biological material, genetics, evolution
and diversity and ecology.

Required Text: Campbell, et al. “Biology: Concepts and Connections”.

Weekly Assignments: Reading one-to-two chapters, lab exercises and
assignments.

Exams/Papers: Four exams, four lab quizzes.
