This course is designed as a capstone experience for students in
folklore and ethnomusicology and for individuals pursuing a variety
of tracks in the undergraduate major, from academic to applied. The
class begins with a summarizing discussion of fundamental concepts,
then asks students to put concepts and methods to use, either in
individual research or in team applications with ongoing Traditional
Arts Indiana activities, and concludes with an articulation of
accomplishments through the preparing of a portfolio keyed to future
professional goals.
