Ritual, Symbol and Myth introduces students to the combined study of
Folklore, Religion and Anthropology. F290 is concerned with the
stories humans tell about their beginnings and endings, with the art
that we use to represent our lives, and with the ceremonies we
perform to help us better understand our communities and our
cosmos. The triad of Ritual, Symbol and Myth is functional in all
cultures, religions and nations. By understanding them, we gain
humanistic, cross-cultural and interdisciplinary insights into our
own lives.
