DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to introduce you to basic
canoeing skills. R110 Canoeing is a highly experiential course
where you must engage in camp setting and maintenance, genuine
reflection, and new skill demonstration. You will be evaluated on
these dimensions, as well as your expedition behavior.
BOOKS: Canoeing: A Trailside Guide, by Grant.
ASSIGNMENTS: Readings and three page paper.
EVALUATION: 30% skill demonstration, 20% expedition behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper
ADDITIONAL FEE: The additional fee for the class is $160, which
includes transportation, food, and group gear.
