DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to introduce the student to
basic wilderness first aid skills. Classroom lectures and
discussions are supplemented by practical work and problem-solving
exercises outside the classroom. The emphasis is always on hands-on
experience. Scenarios are an important part of this class.

EVALUATION: 20% skill demonstration, 20% attendance and
participation, 20% written examination, and 40% quizzes
