This course prepares students for national certification as a Search
and Rescue (SAR) Tech II according to the National Association of
Search and Rescue. Content includes topics in three major areas:
survival and support, search, and rescue. Course provides practical
experience during simulated search and rescue operations during
day/evening scenarios. PRE-REQUSITE IS HPER R110 INTRO TO SEARCH AND
RESCUE.

ASSIGNMENTS: Assigned readings and exercises as required
EVALUATION: 40% written exam, 30% orientation course and 30%
participation
ADDITIONAL FEE: The additional fee for the class is $160, which
includes the certification and classroom material.
