Overview of the issues regarding how are words represented in
cognition. We will read papers on phonological theory,
categorization, neural network models of speech perception, language
change and variation, exemplar theories of memory and short-term
memory and construction grammar. The goal is a picture of how words
and language could be represented that is compatible with as much
experimental data as possible.
