This course focuses on individuals and small groups experiencing
acute and chronic neuropsychological disorders. Content includes the
effect of the brain-body disturbances on health functioning. Other
content areas are growth and development, stress, mental status,
nurse-client relationships, psychopharmacology, and nursing
approaches for clients experiencing DSM-IV neuropsychological

Students will provide nursing care to individuals and small groups
who are experiencing acute and chronic neuro-psychological
disturbances related to psychiatric disorders. Student experiences
will be with individuals and small groups in supervised settings
such as acute care; community-based, transitional, and/or the home.
