Psychology | Stereotyping and Prejudice
P457 | 26561 | Thomas, T

In this course, we will explore topics that are related to the areas
of stereotyping and prejudice. The course will examine the
stigmatization that different groups in America face, based on race
and ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, and
religion, among others. We will discuss how stereotypes about
different groups developed over time and have changed over the
course of American history, how the "-isms" (racism, sexism,
ethnocentrism, etc) affect the lives of each of us, and the ways
that prejudice can be reduced.
