SPEA-E 440 Wetlands: Biology and Regulation (3 cr.) P: SPEA-E 272 or
H 316; any biology course.
This course focuses on structural and functional characteristics of
wetlands, their importance as a natural resource, and their value to
society. Topics include characteristics used to identify wetlands,
classification of wetlands, adaptations for living in wetlands,
community structure and ecosystem processes, wetland functions, and
values and management of wetlands.
Field Lab is required, to be assigned by instructor, 8a-12p or 1-5p
