Is there a reality out there?
How do you prove (or disprove) something?
How do you study things if you canít be sure they exist?

Topics covered in this course include:
The philosophy of knowledge.
The structure and progress of science.
The worth (or worthlessness) of science.
The assumption of qualitative and quantitative approaches to
research.
The breadth of the field of Communication.
The multiplicity of approaches to studying it.
