history of American cultural policymaking, leadership and advocacy,
controversies surrounding public support of the arts, the roles of
the nonprofit and for-profit sectors and of individual artists, arts
education, community development, censorship and equity. In these
contexts, we will also discuss artistic vision and its role in
policymaking.
