This topics course examines the strategies and consequences arising
when electronic media crosses borders.  Specific areas of study will
include state-run news media, international advertising, and the
legal-ethical questions arising therefrom.  The forms of media to be
evaluated include broadcast and satellite radio and television, the
internet, and shortwave radio.
