MIL G-101- Foundations of Officership (2 credits. No prerequisites.
Offered in the Fall)
Make your first new peer group opportunity at college one committed
to performing well and enjoying the experience. Increase self-
confidence while learning fundamental concepts of leadership, values
and ethics while studying the army as a profession. The purpose of
this course is to introduce cadets to issues and competencies that
are central to a commissioned officer's responsibilities. These
initial lessons establish a framework for understanding officership,
leadership, and Army values. Additionally, the semester
addresses "life skills" including fitness and time management.
Leadership labs, physical training sessions, and one weekend field
training exercise make this course challenging, extraordinary, and
fun. Extracurricular activities (optional) include Ranger Challenge,
Pershing Rifles and Little 50 / 500.
