In this course, we review human development from birth through
adolescence. We consider the changes that occur as individuals
mature from infancy to late childhood, the theoretical explanations
of development, relevant research and methodologies, as well as
major issues in the field. It's half discussion-based, half lecture.
A particular emphasis is put on creativity: creative observation,
creative reading, creative writing as to develop a personal point of
view on the field. Theoretically, a particular emphasis is put on the
body as a vehicle for learning and on a systemic and dynamic view of
development.
