Lectures emphasize the use of basic probability concepts and
statistical theory in the estimation and testing of single parameter
and multivariate relationships. In computer labs, using Microsoft
Excel, each student calculates descriptive statistics, probabilities,
and least squares regression coefficients in situations based on
