This course examines important issues in Russian history through
films, both artistic and documentary. Combines lectures with
viewing of films and discussion. The requirements include a mid-term
exam and a final essay. Viewing is mandatory.
Films include: “Boris Godunov”, “Andrei Rublev”, “Ivan the
Terrible”, “Battleship Potemkin”, and “October.”
