Masterpieces of Russian short fiction in a variety of literary modes, from the early nineteenth century to the present, with particular attention to Russian writers and works that have influenced the short story world-wide. Authors include Pushkin, Gogol, Turgenev, Chekhov, Babel, and Nabokov.
