We will be exploring the ways certain poems veer radically from
their apparent paths. Ultimately, the question will be something
like: "How does the mind travel? And how do poems reflect that?" In
this class we will read poems by poets such as Larry Levis, Patrick
Rosal and Aracelis Girmay, but we will also explore the notion of
departure in other genres, such as film and music.

Director of Creative Writing, at email@example.com.
