Traditional Arts Indiana (TAI), a partnership of the Department of
Folklore and Ethnomusicology and the Indiana Arts Commission,
identifies, documents, and presents traditional arts throughout
Indiana. Under TAI supervision, students will learn to work with
field materials, develop resource materials, and assist in the
public sector programs within the context of a statewide arts
In this class, students have an opportunity to choose hands-on
participation in aspects of these initiatives (e.g., fieldwork,
planning exhibits and programs, media applications, publications) as
well as reflect on their work through assigned readings and journal
