This course examines important issues in Russian history through
films, both artistic and documentary. Combines lectures with
viewing of films and discussion. The requirements include weekly
journals and a final essay. Viewing is mandatory.
Films include: “Boris Godunov”, “Ivan the Terrible”, “Peter the
Great”, “Battleship Potemkin”, “October” and “Defense Counsel
Sedov”.
