This course is designed to serve as an introduction to statistical
methods as they are most commonly applied to problems in economics
and business.  To this end, students will be expected to develop the
ability to define, understand and recognize important statistical
concepts as they appear in various situations in economics and
business.  Basic methods of data analysis will be taught, and
students will have opportunities to apply them to datasets drawn
from real-world situations.
