Anatomy & Physiology on William Harvey & His Century

PHYSIOLOGY IN HARVEY'S CENTURY This course covers anatomy and
physiology in William Harvey's century, focusing on the circulation
of the blood, the rise of microscopy, and the study of a range of
techniques of investigation that produced a wealth of novel results
in the 17th century. Besides Harvey, we will study René Descartes,
Marcello Malpighi, Nicholas Steno, and several others. The course
will include a trip to the Lilly Library.
