Course Description
The initial 10 – 12 weeks of this course will consist of the close reading and analysis of Andalusian literary texts in light of critical readings. The final third of the course will be devoted to individual projects and presentations on major themes and works of Andalusian literature.

Grading
Attendance and participation (30%); Mid-term project [8 – 10 typewritten pages] (30%); Semester project [presentation and typewritten, 15 – 20 page paper] (40%).

Prerequisites
Reading knowledge of Classical Arabic.
