Introduce you to the discipline of sociology
Provide you with a broad overview of the field
Enable you to critically examine society with the sociological
perspective With the use of the sociological perspective, you will
be able to gain a deeper understanding of the existing social order
in society and how social forces shape our world.
After reviewing what sociology is and approaches to studying it, we
will explore a variety of topics with our newly acquired
sociological imaginations. Some of the topics covered will include
gender, race, social class, sexuality, deviance, and the family.
