Introduction to Sociology of Asian Americans: This course takes a
sociological approach to examine the histories, experiences, and
cultures that shape the Asian American community. This course
explores the commonalities as well as the diversity of experiences
among different Asian ethnic groups in the United States. We will
discuss contemporary issues of immigration, assimilation, education,
community and identity among Asian Americans.
