Course Name: Global Media Issues (What happens when media cross
borders)

Course Summary: Examination of 1)government-controlled media in
peace and war; 2) private sector news media; and 3)commercial
media.  Period covered is from start of Electronic media age to
present day.

Course Format:  Mostly lecture, with audio and visual material when
appropriate

This course counts toward Social and Historical Studies distribution
requirements in the College of Arts and Sciences. It may, or may
