Y 559 Public Policy and the Arts (3 cr.)

This course considers the public aspect of cultural policy in the
U.S. and elsewhere. Topics include the ends and means of government
funding for the arts, multiculturalism, freedom of expression,
copyright, other legal rights of artists, international trade in
cultural goods, and international treaties on cultural diversity.
