Finite Mathematics for the Social and Biological Sciences (3 cr.)
N & M P: Two years of high school algebra or M014. Quantitative
reasoning (elementary combinatorics and probability; examples of
statistical inference), linear modeling, game models of conflict, and
methods and theory of social choice. Applications to genetics, medical
diagnosis, law, finance, social science research, ecology, and
politics. Credit given for only one of A118, M118, or the sequence
D116-D117.
