Description: Designed specifically for students considering a career
in the “helping professions”, this experience offers students an
opportunity to explore what it is like to work in a busy clinic that
offers medical, behavioral and mental health services. Through
readings and volunteering at the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic,
students will learn about health behavior change, the medical and
mental health care system, the various roles that psychologists play
in health care, and will interact with a variety of different health
care professionals.
