Obtain On-Line Auth for Above Class from Department

This is the first course in a yearlong sequence for first-year
graduate students in the Department of Sociology. The goals of the
SRP are to provide an opportunity for first-year graduate students
to participate in an original data collection project and to develop
their M.A. project. In the 2009-2010 SRP, we will conduct a
national survey to gauge public opinion regarding how "family" is
conceptualized. Data will be collected on a range of topics
regarding family and family policy (e.g., definitions of family,
attitudes about gay and lesbian relationships and gay marriage,
views regarding child development).
