E 440 Wetlands: Biology and Regulation (3 cr.)

P: SPEA-E 272 or H 316. This course focuses on structural and
functional characteristics of wetlands, their importance as a natural
resource and value to society. Topics include characteristics used to
identify and classify wetlands, adaptations for living in wetlands,
community structure and ecosystem processes, functions and values.
Management of wetlands includes jurisdictional delineation and
hydrogeomorphic assessment.
