This course will address the cellular structure, physiology,
genetics and ecology of bacteria.  General principles in
bacteriology will be emphasized with fascinating examples of
bacterial species (“Organisms of the Week”) that violate or modify
these principles.  Textbooks are available in hard copy or as web-
content individual chapters that may be downloaded.
