This course has two main goals.  First, students will be presented
with a comprehensive introduction to Latin American political
development.  This introduction includes the study of historical and
contemporary political problems, including recent effects of market
reforms and prospects for democratic consolidation.  Second, this
course seeks to enhance students’ analytical skills in the field of
comparative politics.
