Y360 analyzes the rise of America’s global leadership during the
post-1945 era, its role in changing the international political and
economic system and the subsequent challenges to that leadership
during the last four decades. We will cover four major issue areas:
1) the emergence of a U.S. internationalist role and the debate
between liberals, realists and neconservatives; 2) governmental
institutions and the policy-making process; and 3) the future of
American foreign policy in a post-Cold War environment.
