Topic: Advanced Video Game Design & Production

The course takes students through a four-month cycle of game
production. We begin with game proposals, then proceed to game
design documents, prototypes, and play tests. Students who do well
in the course will be invited to continue in T460 in the Spring,
where the games will go through final production and release. The
objective is to give every student a genuine, playable game to
display as part of their portfolio of work.

Class time will be structured as production meetings. Grading is
based on the final output as well as documents created during the
production process. Teamwork is a significant component of the
grade, peer assessments will be extensively used, and some of the
grading will occur publicly in class.
