Course requirements:  One introductory biology course, preferably
Biology L111 or L113. It is possible to take Z375 independently from
Z374 Invertebrate Zoology Lecture. In other words, Z374 is not a pre-
requisite or a co-requisite for Z375

Course Format: Laboratory: 1:00P-5:00P, R, plus time outside of lab
as necessary to write up reports.

Course Description: This course is intended for Biology and SPEA
majors or the equivalent.  The course includes laboratory and field
observations of local invertebrates, with emphasis on studies and
experiments involving living animals.  The principal objectives of
the course are (1) learning how to keep complete and accurate
records of lab and field activities and (2) learning how to write
formal scientific reports.

Weekly Assignments: Laboratory notebook entries detailing each
week's activities.

Exams/Papers: Five formal reports based on lab exercises.  No exams.
