This course examines the scientific approach to understanding the
social world, the relationship between theory and research, ethical
implications, research design, data collection, data management, and
data analysis. The course focuses on research aimed at understanding
crime, antisocial behavior and related adjustment problems.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
1) Formulate good research questions and design appropriate research
in criminology and criminal justice.
2) Analyze and critically assess research.
