Intermediate Finnish I
Review of elementary skills in the Finnish language, expansion of vocabulary, and emphasis on
constructing basic sentences and applying the knowledge of grammar into both oral and written
communication to survive in a (normal) Finnish-speaking environment and in advanced studies in
the Finnish language and/or linguistics and/or cultural studies.
Required Texts: Finnish for Foreigners 2, Aaltio, as well as (easy) newspaper articles and other
fiction and non-fiction texts and audio-and videotapes will be used. Regular homework is
assigned.
