The aim of this course is to study, through practice, the dynamic
relationships of 2D design
components:  Color-shape, value and line.  The ultimate goal of
the course is to develop, through
experience, by trial and error, the student's visual imagination
and understanding.

In 2D Fundamental Studio discussions of work in group lecture and
individual critiques, slide
presentations, and various media demonstrations will be an
important supplement to the studio
activity.

Assignments, Tests, Grades:  10-12 hours outside of class per
week is needed.  There will be midterm
and final reviews, with grades based on effort, productivity and
quality.  Attendance is required.

Text/Materials:  Students are responsible for cost of their own
materials.  Cost is approximately $90-
$100 per semester.

Frequency of Scheduling:  Every semester.
