Introductory Uzbek I
This course is an introduction to the literary language of the Uzbek Republic also spoken
elsewhere in Central Asia and in Afghanistan. The course will cover pronunciation, grammar,
syntax, reading, and writing. It will also introduce articles relating to the culture and daily life of
the Uzbeks.
Exams: Bi-weekly quizzes, two examinations, and a final exam form the basis of the grade
together with class performance.
