Course Description and Content
The objective of this course is to introduce the student of interior
design to the basic practices and considerations needed to
produce a responsible interior lighting design. The aesthetics,
analysis, planning, calculations, budgeting and presentation
techniques pertinent to interior lighting design will be studied
through lecture, demonstration, and project work.

Outline Course Requirements
Reading assignment and quizzes; Assignments including: Short
papers, field trip reports, design problems, and hands-on
experiments; final project/examination.

Materials and tools: drafting tools, drawing tools, a scientific
calculator. A lighting fixture may be required to finish
